Some of the powerful leaders in the Middle East had many things in common. King Hammurabi and Saddam Hussein shared in their approach to military power.
Hammurabi was an ancient leader for Babylonia. One of his greatest achievements was his army.  He made all citizens fight in the army and equipped them with weapons and armored vehicles. They were split up into two groups, one attacking, and one defending. Hammurabi over time extended Babylonia by taking over other countries in Mesopotamia in a series of wars. On the other hand, Saddam Hussein was a modern day leader in Iraq. He also had a powerful army who tried to attack the Middle East. He ruled Iraq with brutal power. One example of that is if you talked bad about him in public…you would be put to death.
In conclusion although these two leaders shared a similar approach to military power, they lead their people in many different ways. Leaders worldwide have many different and similarities, but if they focus on the similarities then they could unite better.
